 2011 RACE SEASON - ANNUAL REPORT |

Dear Serious Cycling members and friends: The 2011 race season was a remarkable year proving that together we all help grow the sport of cycling. Working in the video game industry for the past 15 years I dreamed about cycling. I often found myself trying to finagle meetings around my day to allow for a quick training ride in the morning or long blue sky lunch in the afternoon. I realized quickly that my workouts helped me think. They helped my problem-solving too, and I found myself being more attentive and focused in meetings. Which was a good thing, as I had the role of CEO, leading over 100 software engineers... but most of all, I just felt good. Ultimately, I knew I wanted to share this experience with others |

| GROWING THE SPORT OF CYCLING |

Over the past nine months I focused most of my time around cycling in Agoura Hills. Working together we put over 300 Bicycle John's Serious Cycling jerseys on the road. Approximately ten percent of those jersey's were raced in USA Cycling events each weekend, and surely 100 percent were ridden hard all over the Southern California region. RaeLynn and our shop staff have doubled the size and variety of our weekly shop rides with folks from outside the area regularly come out to join us. Cycling greats such as Ron Skarin, Todd "Go-Go" Gogulski and Andy Hampsten have all led group rides from the shop this year. I believe the roads have become friendlier as well. It's been a real joy to see so many riders exchanging a friendly wave hello while wearing our kits and others' kits on the road. Finally, this year's annual Customer Appreciation and Le Tour Celebration had 220 riders participate and raised over $2,000 for the Angeles Clinic/Pablov Foundation. The year really began to take root with Dave Brinton's Winter Epics, preparing many for the infamous Simi Ride, and then race season. By mid-summer RaeLynn of WomenCyclist.com put on her now famous Women on Wheels cycling summit in Santa Ynez. Laying the foundation for many to prepare for their big events such as the Cruisin the Conejo, various summer "ride-cations", the Amgen California Coast Classic Benefit Tour, and various MS 150s raising thousands of dollars for charities. |

Our MISSION is to compete locally at a high level, create favorable visibility for our sponsors, and help grow the sport of cycling. Thanks to the support of the Bicycle John's Serious Cycling Team, 2011 was a big success. 2012 can bring bigger opportunities with your help and our continued leadership in growing new riders through exemplifying good sportsmanship, on and off the bike, and making ourselves available to help others discover cycling and improve.
