The Jailhouse will NOT be rocking in 2013...

Dear Racers and Race Fans,

It is with a heavy heart that we must announce the cancellation of the upcoming Jailhouse Race, scheduled for June 15th.

Budget cuts in the State have put increased pressure on local governments and as a result the prisoner population at the Pitchess Detention Center is at a level that the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department can no longer accommodate our event. You may recall that we narrowly avoided this outcome last year. As a result we will no longer be using this location going forward.

We want to thank the staff at the Pitchess Detention Center for hosting us in 2012 and congratulate the winners from the one and now only Jailhouse Race.

We are diligently working on a new location, and the 2013 Race Calendar permitting, we will come back to you with a proposed Jail-break Race later in the summer!

In the meantime, we will be at the Barry Wolf Grand Prix again hosting the podium and the event.

We charge $125 for our professional bike fit. We ask that you make an appointment, to secure a date and time, by calling the shop (+1.818.597.8330) or sending us an email (info@seriouscycling.com). During our fit session it will be very important for you to be fully warmed up. Ideally you can come in after a solid hour tempo ride, but if that’s not possible you’re welcome to warm up on the trainer in our fit studio. The entire process takes about 60 to 90 minutes.

There’s a lot of different tools being used to fit riders today. Some important elements to consider in any bike fit are that the ‘tools’ are only as good as their users and that bike fit should be viewed as a continuum. It is not simply a one-time static thing. The realities of life affect how much one can ride and that has a direct affect on progression or regression throughout the year. Therefore post adjustments and consultation are at no extra charge. Come in and check things out.
